National Door recently installed quality beautiful custom doors on our early 60's home. Dan, Johnette and their staff gave us excellent service. Paul, their installer was amazing with a wonderful work ethic. He came down in spite of the snow and worked really hard without any breaks from start to finish.

Wow! I found National Door, Inc. (NDI) based on the glowing reviews and I sure am glad I did. Another company had tried to rip me off when my garage door opener failed, so I was tentative when looking for an alternate one. NDI more than lived up to its positive reviews and my expectations with their fast, friendly, and clearly honest approach.
When I called on the weekend, I spoke directly with one of the owners, Johnette. She was so friendly and took a lot of time out of her weekend to answer all my questions and make sure they followed up with me on Monday after determining if the opener I wanted that just came to market would be available.
Monday morning, Shawna, the operations manager, promptly called me. They had the new model LiftMaster opener with all the bells and whistles (including internet control from a Smartphone) already in stock. They had great prices and were upfront quoting fixed pricing including labor with no surprises. They were one half the cost of the first company that tried to rip me off! We made an appointment for installation that afternoon.
While the high-tech opener I wanted was new to market, their staff had already received training on it and Shawna had already personally installed one for herself. More importantly she was upfront that I would be the first customer to get one, and as such, they had no history with it regarding reliability. She too, was very friendly, and took a lot of time to explain the features, prices, and all the gadget options available for it. She said if I had any questions about the operation of the high-tech peripherals after it was installed I could call her back directly. While it's always risky to get the newest gadgets on the market, I was confident that NDI would be the best to install the opener because they are the only company in a 100 mile radius to receive the highest level "ProVantage" certification from LiftMaster.
As prearranged, Chris the installer, called me 20 minutes before arriving so I could drive home from work and meet him. He arrived promptly, 20 minutes later. Also a very nice guy, and helpful, doing a few tweaks for me, completely lubricating my door, adjusting the spring tension and getting the wall controller and pin-pad all setup just the way I wanted. I was also happy to hear from Chris that in addition to LiftMaster's great parts warranty on the opener itself, NDI would take care of any labor charges if problems occur in the first year.
Over the years, I always seem to have had particular issues finding reputable garage door repair companies. There seem to be so many with high prices or independent contractors that masquerade as large companies that have trouble keeping appointments and try to rip you off.
What a great experience with NDI. Their website says that Dan and Janette are the proud owners. There is no doubt this is true. They clearly take pride in having a friendly and knowledgeable staff and are in the business to cultivate happy, repeat customers. It's rare these days to find an honest, efficient, professional, and friendly company that truly cares about its customers. Fortunately I found that with NDI.
By Teresa - Oct 07, 2011I can not say enough about the service I received from National Door Inc. I had decided on replacing our old overhead garage openers with the new side mounted jackshaft ones. Originally I had called another company and they quoted me over $650 for each one. I also felt a ton of pressure to "seal the deal" right away. I trusted my gut and then called National Door. I worked with Amber and she was amazing! No pressure, straight forward answers, quick scheduling and on time installation. The installer was very nice and did a fabulous job. He even replaced a few door bolts that were rusted out. I will definitely recommend National Door. Thanks!

By Peter - Sep 12, 2011One of the two overhead, twisting type of coil springs of our old, double-car-wide garage door broke after about twenty years of service, making the door too heavy to lift/open, either with the electric garage door opener or manually.
Fortunately our cars were already outside when this happened, so we were not stranded.
We searched the internet for solutions, and ultimately decided to seek estimates from two companies in our area (north Seattle/Bothell). The estimate from the first company (a local unit of a national company) included additional work Our requirements were simply timeliness and good value for the money.
besides the replacement of the broken (and the matching other spring of the pair). This additional work was recommended by the service/repairman because he said the other mechanical parts, such as the cables, pullies, rollers, and bearings, were also probably more than twenty years old, and likely to give out any time (even though they looked to us to be in still very good working condition). Total estimate was around $700, before deducting a "special 10% discount" and the charge for the service call.
This was way more than we expected, and, frankly, the laundry list of additional work made us skeptical of the service/repairman.
The second estimate was from NDI, and was for a reasonable amount of labor tacked onto what comparably-sized springs were selling for on the internet. Needless to say, NDI's cost estimate was under half of the other company's. The NDI service/repairman took measurements of our garage door and said it would be about two weeks for the custom-made springs to be ready to be installed.
This sounded so much more reasonable to us that we didn't hesitate to go with NDI.
Two weeks (actually less than that) we got a call from NDI to see if it was ok to come out and install the new pair of springs. The same service/repairman installed the springs and adjusted the tension, all in no time at all and without a unexpected surprises. The new springs looked like they were of slightly thicker diameter and also appeared to be about a foot longer in overall length, which the NDI service/repairman explained would allow an estimated 30 years or more of service, instead of the standard twenty years, even given that our door was of an older, heavier design than current doors.
We were relieved that this NDI service/repairman thought of everything. We felt we clearly got more than our intial requirements of timeliness and good value for the money, and we heartily recommend NDI.

Princess Peach on the Plateau --June 1, 2011My garage door stopped working several weeks ago and I stopped using it as I didn't want to incur a great deal of expense in fixing it. Finally I resigned msyelf to getting it fixed and saw the reviews for National Door Inc. on Yelp and phoned. First impressions were great with Johnette who was very helpful. Dan the owner came out on the scheduled day. Very nice guy. He saw that the springs needed replacing, gave some advice and a very reasonable quote. There are some people that you meet them and you make a judgment call if you are getting good work and a fair price. That is the case with Dan. He is passionate about his work and very fair in pricing. As he finalized the work he was like a master craftsman adjusting the tension and door opener millimeters of turns to get it just right. I would recommend Dan to anyone with garage door issues. We all want good work by nice people at a fair price. That is what you get with Dan and Johnette.

Spoke to Johnette and was given a quote & I was told Shauna would call in the morning to set up appt. This morning, appt was set and the technician, Chris, was right on time ..even called 30 min ahead to let me know he's on the way. This is what a good customer service is all about. Chris was very knowledgable with his trade and put in extra safety cables when I mentioned the safety of parked cars underneath when spring breaks. I appreciated that very much. He also inspected all other component and made sure all doors were in good shape before finishing the job. He was pleasant and left the work area clean. Well done. I will recommend NDI to friends and neighbors and will use them again in the future.
For over 10 years, we have been enthusiastically happy with the excellent service provided by National Door.

It was a Saturday and my spring was broken... I googled Garage Door Repair in Woodinville and found NDI - Johnette answered the phone and was oh-so pleasant and helpful! She sort of appologized for Dan taking the day off to go skiing - but he could do the repair on Sunday! I said great and Dan arrived on time at 10am to make the repair. I enjoyed speaking with Dan, and learning more about how the springs are sized for these doors. The repair went quickly and the price was extremely fair. I would highly recommend NDI - and will spread the word to my neighbors. Thanks Dan and Johnette for your responsiveness and professional service.

I called Dan on a Saturday (during the Seahawks playoff game against the Saints). Even with the game on he took the time to explain his service and what is included.
He came out and in about 30 minutes had our garage door working better than it has in the 6 years I've been living in my home. I'd highly recommend him and will use him again.

Dec 10, 2010The technician came to our house around 11:30am (I initially called them around 9am) and it took him about 40 minutes to replace both springs on the door, and even adjusted the garage door lock without charging me extra, so it wouldn't intefere with the garage door operations, which I didn't even know was a problem until he brought it up. Talk about service!
I'm very pleased with this company and wanted to write this review up before I forget. After dealing with multiple contractors this summer for house remodeling, I now appreciate when I come across one that gets the job done honestly and efficiently. Thank 'yelpers', for the suggestion.

Replaced both torsion springs on our garage door. Very friendly on the phone...price was a set fee rather than charging by hour of labor or such...lower price than the other two places I called.
Appointment was made very quickly and they were able to come out the next morning. Repairman was early and called to make sure that showing up early would be OK.
Very friendly repairman who gave advice on the garage door and what to expect from it in the upcoming years.
I would use them again for any future work I need done.

I needed some service on my garage door. I tried several things and it wouldn't close using the remote.
I called and set the appointment with a very helpful scheduler.
Typically, with this type of repair service, they show up late. Especially since my house's address isn't on Google maps. The appointment was at 11:00 AM and lo and behold, he drove up the drive way at 11:00 AM.
It took him a few minutes to figure out what the problem was, then made a few adjustments. It didn't work so he replaced a part. Still didn't work, so it tried another adjustment. It worked. The surprise was he went back to the part that he just installed and said "let's see if the old part works, that way it won't cost you as much." He put the old part in and everything worked.
He saved me money on the repair and was extremely honest. The biggest part of this was that he was on time and fixed my problem quickly.
I would strongly recommend this company to anyone!

The guys at National Door were very quick, they fixed the issue, told me the cost upfront and din't try to squeeze more out of me, and actually helped fix some small issues without charging extra for it. They were also the cheapest of everyone I called. Definitely recommend them, and will definitely call them next time I need someone.

Shonna called me on Monday, scheduled my service and your technician came out and replaced my springs. He was knowledgeable and extremely professional. There are not enough service companies these days that really care about their customer. After talking to National Doors Sales, Dispatch, and Service departments they are on the top of my list in customer service. I had the pleasure of working with the owner of National Door, Dan Pevarnick. He was extremely professional and helpful. He walked me thru several concerns I had about my garage door and tried to trouble shoot me through my problems to save me a trip charge. Now days that is so important. After a few minutes with him on the phone my problems were solved. I thanked him so very much and told him I would be calling him back in the next 6 months to replace my doors.
